Works with DD-WRT!

I bought this router to replace a Dir-825 as my version was not compatible with DD-WRT firmware. I ran the stock firmware for a month and was completely satisfied with the performance in using both 5ghz and 2.4ghz. After installing DD-WRT I did not see any performance loss.
Pros:
  • Great 5ghz throughput whether using stock firmware or DD-WRT
  • This router provides consistent 11MB throughput on wireless file transfers in my environment
Cons:
  • None
  • Some have complained about 5ghz range but that is the nature of all 5ghz routers - you will not get the same range as 2.4ghz

A Great Product, However...

Resource CD included is useless for most installations. Many computers sold today do not have CD/DVD drives. Furthermore the "No CD Drive" Installation section will not work in a typical network setup.
Pros:
  • Fast
  • Highly Compatible
  • Secure
  • Small

Excellent Router, except for USB printer sharing

This is a great router in almost every aspect, except for the USB not being able to handle a printer, you still have to have a desktop on to print from a laptop thru the network. This unit is currently only being used to access the network and internet with a laptop, no streaming or DLNA stuff yet.
Pros:
  • Excellent Range
  • Signal Strength
  • Easy to Setup
  • Gigabit Wired
Cons:
  • No USB Printer Control

Mostly good, but not perfect

Pros: It seems to be fast. It has a button on back to turn off/on, which is large enough to make it very convenient to access easily. Guest access is convenient, and can be secured with passkey (optional).

Excelent Preformance with NO downtime

"As an I.T. Professional, I prefer quality products in my home. This is the first WiFi/Router that I can't complain about. The setup was easy, and once configured, I didn't have to make any changes. Every WiFi capable router I have owned in the past has needed a hard reset from time to time.
Pros:
  • No need for resets
  •  2
  • 4 and 5
  • 7 networks, plus guest network for each range
Cons:
  • USB drive access is slow
  • USB port could be spaced farther from Uplink port
