Do not purchase, fails in a few months
Quit communicating in 3 moths.....no electrical storm....no reason...replaced with a cable provided box and all back to normal. For a $100 bucks I need a little 1 lb box to last longer.... Electrical storm.......no Surge issues .............no Voltage issues..........

Netgear Rangemax WNDR3700
It wasn't much of a contest: Netgear's WNDR3700 V1 retained its crown as our Best of the Best router with spectacular TCP through-put, a strong feature set, and an even stronger price/performance ratio. It's the second-most expensive router we tested, but it's worth every penny.
Pros:
- Awesome price/performance ratio
- DLNA-compliant media server
- dual guest networks
- traffic meter
Cons:
- No USB printer sharing
- traffic meter can't limit on a per-client basis

There are a few qualities that make a router an Editors' Choice: a simple setup process, a strong feature set, and excellent throughput. Many wireless routers have one or maybe two of those features, but the Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router (WNDR3700) ($169.99, street) has them all.
Pros:
- Amazing throughput
- Improved setup with Genie app
- Loaded with features
Cons:
- Setup process a bit slow
- Setup still requires some tech savvy
- Slow file copying via USB connection

NETGEAR WNDR3700 Wireless Router
This is the first wireless router I've ever bought. The reason was that I had purchased a netbook, which of course needs Internet access. Getting through Ethernet cabling wasn't something I am good at, so I decided to go wireless. WNDR3700 was very easy to set-up.
Pros:
- Stable signal
- rock-solid performance
Cons:
- Writing speed to NTFS formatted USB HDD is mediocre

Awesome Router
Works right out of the box, with a superb, friendly interface thats easy to understand and simple to set up. I love the ability to switch the wireless on and off easily. It saves a lot of power when not in use.
