Read a few reviews and got an average overall rating of this product. Decided to take the punt and purchase it and it was a great purchase. Installed on a Windows 7 machine which was very simple and the speeds are amazing.

I have had some bad luck with Netgear products lately and this was no exception. I didn't get a very good 5g signal though out my house and had some dropped signal issues. The product itself quit working after just a month and would not power back on.
Nice design i guess
Died after a month
Firstly, I always mark stuff out of a score of 5 after all how easy is it to discriminate between 7, 8 or 9 out of 10. That off my chest, the WNDA4100 gets 4 out of 5 because it is 'class leading in many respects' but not 'class leading in all respects'. Why?
Works well and excellent speed with the right router
Too big to fit into a standard USB slot without worrying about breaking it
The WNDA4100 is a wireless-n adapter, capable of "n900" speeds - that is, 450Mbit/s maximum speed. It's designed to plug into a desktop or laptop that lacks wireless-n, to give it additional speed and range.
The configuration utility is brain-dead. It is for the plug and play user and has no device configuration. The device cannot be forced to a particular protocol (a/b/g/n) so it picks.
I like the remote USB cable; It works great at b/g/n.
I cannot get it to connect at 5ghz; The access point is 10 feet away and it won't connect; I am using WPA2; Tech told me "wpa2 is too fast so it won't work at 5ghz." I do this for a living, typical support reading from a script and not really knowing what he (or I) am talking about.
Easy setup. Fast connection. I bought this because it was the only USB Wi Fi that worked in Windows 8 and it works very well. I can highly recommend it.
Only problem is that the 5mb does not work with all devices. OK with my older toshiba netvista pc, but not on toshiba windows 7 pc. Tried many different things suggested by netgear support.
Fast; Fast Connection Speed; No Internet Drops Even Wi; Reliable connection; Secure Connection
5 Mb Does Not Work All Ti
First off, ordering was a breeze. Ordered late morning and picked up early afternoon. Next, the price was $40.00 cheaper in the store than online, which I wasn't aware of, so when I picked it up I was pleasantly surprised with the price adjustment.
I bought this product yesterday, it didn't connect (All my other devices are connected to the internet I'm trying to connect to) so I played with the (Extremely limited) settings, and looked through the guide sent with it (Which the entire thing is just 7 steps and a lot of pretty pictures) and it...
Small; the interface looks easy to use
Doesn't tell you when you cannot connect; extremely difficult to find support anywhere
I use with a Netgear R7000. No complaints.
