Good product, VFM
Awesome product overall. Had to read an article from Netgear Support website to set it up since I had MAC based access control enabled in my Wifi access point. Once setup it works really well, spreading wifi network to every corner of my apartment, where I used to have poor connectivity before.
Pros:
- Fast Connection
Cons:
- Difficult To Set Up

Netgear WN3000RP WiFi extender
WiFi's become an almost indispensable adjunct to our computing and home entertainment, but it has its quirks. It passes easily through interior stud walls - unless they happen to be foil-insulated - but can grind to a halt when confronted with brick.

Works well
Had the product for about a month. Improved the Wi-Fi coverage well. Would be even better if it switched between base network and extension automatically.

No way to use hi-gain antenna
The antennas are not detachable so I had to use a different extender. Without a hi-gain antenna the connection dropped constantly. Another problem - this unit is designed to plug into an outlet and the signal may not be strong enough there.

Netgear WN3000RP Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender review
Wireless networks can be fantastic - eliminating the need to trail Ethernet cables across our homes just to connect to the internet, or stream media from one PC to another. But often their Achilles' heel is range.
