The Netgear Universal WN3000RP is the second of the Wi-Fi boosters manufactured by Netgear. This particular device is much smaller than the WN2000RPT and plugs into a wall outlet to power-up.
Pros:
- This Wi-Fi booster has an optimal coverage option to show where the unit should be placed for the best connection possible
Cons:
- Phone support only lasts 90 days from product purchase date

Pure Junk
Modifies the MAC address of devices on the extended network (against the rules for MAC address assignment) before passing them on, making dynamic IP reservations a pain.
Pros:
- Will extend your wireless network...for a while...until it quits working and needs a reboot
Cons:
- Locks up - after a few hours to a few days
- completely stops routing packets from the extended network to the primary network
- requiring you to unplug the device to reset

Complete Waste of Money
I decided to purchase this "range extender" and I had trouble immediately from set up. I tried contacting NetGear and after spending around 4 hours on the phone with their technical support I got absolutely nowhere. A real waste of money. Very upsetting.

Useless!
My experience with this product wasn't what I was expecting. My wireless network is running all NetGear equipment and runs really well, but I had a minor dead spot that I needed to resolve. This sold itself as the perfect solution. It wasn't, it in fact gave me a worse signal than the router alone.
Pros:
- Nothing
Cons:
- Everything

The Netgear 3000 extender did not work
the Netgear 3000 extender did not noticeably improve our wifi range. We had houseguest from Italy and San Diego who wanted to use wifi in the back bedrooms. The base wifi unit was in the front of the house, with the kitchen and its metal appliances in between.

I purchased this hoping to advert running cable upstairs. It was a waste of time and money. To run Cat5 Cable means I have to remove moldings and drill holes etc. thru floors. I just didn't want to do that.
Pros:
- Easy set up and sync with router
Cons:
- Low signal - I have the extender located directly above my existing Router, the only thing in between is a floor! POOR SIGNAL
- DO NOT INVEST YOUR MONEY IN THIS.

Not good value
I bought this some time ago and it works but not very well. I would not recommend it.

Reaches the parts other WIFIs fail to......
S'cool. Easy to set up. Extends a Netgear N300 router. Takes my wifi to new areas, which is just what I wanted. Arrived in good time. Good seller, but you'd expect that to be the case from a well know High Street name.
