Up to this point, I've tried multiple range extenders. Have use Netgear extenders, Linksys extenders, with only limited success at best. I would have frequent signal drops, and I would have to do multiple device reboots to re-establish a signal.

Product worked well for about 2 years. Then after what I presume to be an automatic firmware update, all my mobile devices (Android and Apple) smartphones and tablets started having severe battery drain while idle, in the magnitude of up to 40% drain when the device is idle overnight - used to only...

I purchased this product to improve the range of our WiFi. After a bit of research I decided to install tri-band mesh WiFi technology selecting the Netgear Orbi. The setup of the product was quick and easy requiring me to install the Orbi app then follow the bouncing ball.

Prior to installing the Orbi we had no Wifi upstairs in our 3 storey terrace. After reading many expert reviews on different mesh wifi systems I went with the Orbi and it is awesome! Strong wifi from the top to bottom (RBR50) of the house. Easy to setup, effectively all I did was plug and play.

The Orbi system worked flawlessly for a year, strong Wi-Fi signal and fast connection throughout the house. Then it started repeatedly dropping Wi-Fi signal. Product support for Netgear is nonexistent, so I scoured the internet for solutions and tried system reboots, factory resets and firmware...

In all, the Orbi is a smart system: we found it delivered rock-solid and stable Wi-Fi to our entire house. If you've struggled with poor Wi-Fi performance in the past, then this router could well be the answer.

Set up was no problem, the Wifi worked and speed was good, however even with the firmware updates, the WiFi would just drop, logs didn't show any issues, in fact the logs showed no failure of broadband - this would happen quite often and no explaination- Put the old WiFi system back on and it worked...
