Definitely improved my range in the house. Prior to having this, I couldn't stream Netflix, HBO Go, etc in my upstairs bedroom worth a damn. Now it's fine!

Have tried multiple wi fi extenders that at best were fair but unreliable and inconsistent. The orbi has totally solved the problem in our 3200 sq ft single story home and large back yard and set up was simple compared to the extenders.
The Orbi pair I received seem to be working fine for the 2 weeks or so that I've had them. They were easy to set up although the automatic firmware update got them hung up and I needed to power cycle both of them after about 10 minutes of not rebooting automatically.
Love it. We have several iPad and firestick running with it. And no more buffering when the kids are on at the same time.
I live in a townhouse .it has great coverage

Sadly the app was not effective, however the phone help was excellent. I now have WiFi throughout the home and into the patio. Shame my internet provider doesn't have the same level of expertise as I've been without it for a week since they swapped over my router.
Netgear has extended its Orbi range of mesh networking systems with this more affordable entry-level model. Here's our review of the RBK30 kit.
Mesh networking has been one of the big tech bandwagons of 2017, with a seemingly endless stream of eye-catching designs coming from all the big names - even stick-in-the-mud British Telecom, whose Whole Home Wi-Fi kit is very good value.
The Netgear Orbi WiFi System AC2200 (RBK30) is a solid choice if you're looking to blanket a small home with seamless Wi-Fi. It's easy to install and configure, and offers a good assortment of management settings, but you'll have to use the web console to access them, as the mobile app has a long...
Easy installation; Solid throughput; Lots of advanced settings; Supports Multi-User Multiple Input, Multiple Output (MU-MIMO) streaming
No USB connectivity; Mobile app has limited functionality; Bulky satellite; Limited Quality of Service (QoS) settings
At the current cost of $300 (AU$499, £280) for a set of two units (one router, one satellite), the Orbi RBK30 can be a great Wi-Fi system if you live in a house that has a lot of electrical sockets. In many ways, it's just a different flavor of the RBK40 .
The Orbi RBK30 is easy to use; can deliver reliable Wi-Fi for a relatively large home and has all the features and settings of a standalone Netgear router
The satellite unit is bulky and has no network ports; The system's web interface is sluggish and doesn't include built-in protection feature against online threats
