I have another week before it goes back to Newegg as defective. I have reached out to Netgear support to see if there is a fix. If not, back it goes
Great looking unit
I have tested all three channels with about 7 devices now

Netgear Nighthawk X6: Netgear's Latest Flagship with Tri-Band Wi-Fi Netgear has released their latest flagship wireless router, the Nighthawk X6 R8000 which is an Tri-Band 802.11ac.
I have had other routers from other company's and netgear is the one I keep coming back too. I had a netgear 3700 that was working great without any kind of problem, but I had a friend that didn't have a lot of money to spend on a good router so I let him have 3700, I have looking at the ac3200 like...
The Nighthawk X6 has plenty of bells and whistles and is geared towards either the individual that has multiple devices such as gaming systems, laptops, mobile devices, etc and not for those that have just one or two devices.
On paper, Netgear's Nighthawk X6 R8000 is one impressive router. Boasting what Netgear has called "Triband" technology a theoretical combined network speed of 3.2 gigabits per second, the Nighthawk X6 sounds like the be-all and end-all of consumer-grade networking hardware.
Future-proof; Great for networking drives; Slick design
Expensive; Limited 2.4Ghz band; Most users won't see a performance increase
Almost half a year ago our pages presented a review on NETGEAR R7500 wireless router, which allows user traffic transmitting via a wireless network at the speed up to 2,33 Gbps. Even then the vendor intrigued us with a new model that was just awaiting its arrival to Russia.
High user data transmission speeds in the wireless segment; Powerful CPU; Support of VPN server functionality; IPv6 support; Ability to create guest wireless networks; Good access speeds to data located on an external hard drive; Support of three independent wireless bands; High data transmission...
The web-interface is not completely translated; and to change localization Internet connection is needed; Relatively high price; IPv6 and OpenVPN cannot be used simultaneously
No complaints...
After a lot of hype, the Netgear R8000 Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Tri-Band Gigabit Wireless Router is just a disappointment. Positioned as a major upgrade to the previous R7000 model , which is one of the best -- if not the best -- home routers from Netgear, the R8000 is impressive on paper.
The all-new Netgear R8000 Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Tri-Band Gigabit Wireless Router has powerful hardware and excellent Wi-Fi data rates on the 5Ghz frequency band; When coupled with an external hard drive, the router also functions as a robust NAS server
The router has a buggy 2.4Ghz band and comparatively short Wi-Fi range, and -- when all is working as intended -- it doesn't perform any better than other AC1900 routers; It's also crazily expensive
This may strike some of you as a bit odd but the first thing i do whenever i go to a hotel, restaurant or cafeteria I've never been in the past i always check to see if they have WiFi available and if so what is its strength and range.
Overall Build Quality; Design; Near-Excellent Wireless Performance; AC3200 (Concurrent 802.11n & two 802.11ac Bands; User Friendly Web Interface; Features; Technologies Used (Beamforming & TurboQAM; Android & iOS App; 4 Gigabit Ethernet Ports / WAN Port; 2 USB Ports (USB 3.0 & USB 2.0; LED On/Off...

A s the amount of data available to stream continues to increase rapidly, we as consumers need a way to connect to that data just as fast. The ability to stream 4K is becoming the new norm, so of course we need the proper hardware to maximize the speed for seamless playback and downloads.
Easy Setup; Tri-band Technology; Easy to use Netgear Genie App
Although it's cool looking; It is a little bigger than most so prepare to clear some space
