Netgear 8-PORT GIGABIT ETHERNET SWITCH GS608

There's not much really to say about this product, it works exactly as it should really. The Netgear GS08 is a great choice to add some extra ports to your home network inexpensively.

Silent; Easy to setup and use; Inexpensive

None really

Does what it's supposed to do. Reliable and bone-simple to install in your network.

It does what it's supposed to do. I've bought several and none have so much as burped. Styling is attractive enough. I like the Netgear brand and this item does not disappoint.

Great item. I bit small

Great item. I bit small than the one I've used for ten years. Works just as well.

Nice, inexpensive gigabit switch

Compared to other inexpensive 5-port and 8-port gigabit ethernet switches out there, this one looks great, and has a small, light and energy-efficient switching-mode power supply (a nice touch). It is trivial to set up (it's an unmanaged switch... there's nothing to configure).

Mains converter needed & supplied

The only minor issue is that, rather than a native UK power supply unit, it came with a two prong PSU and a converter so it could be used in a UK socket. This works fine, but is rather bulky. That said, the device is working just fine.

Netgear - GS608 - 8-Port Gigabit Network Switch

Sleek, low profile, low heat, all 8 ports Gigabit Doesn't have adequate weight to even hold itself flat against a desk if the cables are pulling down more than the edge. You can't go wrong with these desktop switches, I bought two for household and I have a *very* information intensive home network.
