It's Plug-n-Play; it doesn't get any easier than that. Simply connect your computer and your peripherals to the switch. The connections are all done from behind the switch. This creates a much cleaner installation than, let's say, a D-Link switch where the connections are made from the front.

Nice little switch for home or small business

I'm using this on my workbench where I previously had a 10/100 switch. I'm able to pull files down from our server rack at the rated gigabit speed (I saturate the uplink port) to multiple machines when doing new setups.

Small footprint; low power consumption; stylish white case; auto-uplink; decent-sized wall wart; good transfer speeds; 8 gigabit ports; great price point

Status LEDs are almost worthless; Would have been nice to see a port up/speed LED, and a separate LED for traffic that flashed faster for more data transfer; Very light, easily falls off where you place it due to it's lack of weight when multiple cables are plugged in (you need to think of your wire...

An excellent network switch

Superb little switch. When I say little I mean it's smaller than I imagined it would be, very neat looking device. I get full wire speed (1Gb/s) between the computers I have wired into this switch. Also, and this detail is missing from the description, it supports jumbo frames.

I love this thing

I love this thing. I plugged my cables in, powered it on, and it's been a champ. No complaints or issues from it whatsoever. I do have a mild issue, although this is more likely due to my network setup than the switch. This is connected via a powerlink adapter, then an AP (old sky hub).

It's a simple 8-port gigabit, wired network switch. It's simple and easy to use. There really isn't much to write about it as faras a review goes. Plug in your network cables, plug in the adapter, turn it on - done. Not much to it.

"Does exactly what its meant to do"

Easy to use, plug and play, doesn't have space if ethernet plugs have the boots on them though so they need to be removed

Bought this to upgrade my home network to make copying files across to my Synology NAS quicker as I record YouTube video's for daily release. I move on average 10 - 15 GB a week and on 10/100 it was taking me approximately 25-35 minutes each time, now it is 3 - 5 minutes.
