Not worth purchasing, mediocre range extension, defective DLNA uPNP software, slow read and write speeds over USB 3.0

I live in a 1200 sq ft 2 BHK, signal strength drops to around -80 dbm at around 30-35 ft on 2.4 Ghz channel on which it should provide longest coverage, i am running extender on 100% power , not sure how people are able to use it to connect on different floors, also DLNA on this one is faulty, it...

Very disappointed with this extender. Supposed to be best on the market. Signal drops out all the time and devices can't even connect via lan cable. Simply doesn't do what it is supposed to find that extend my Wi-Fi range. Very disappointed would like to return it for a refund.

Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 Wi-Fi Range Extender (EX7000) Review

Range extenders offer a way to provide wireless networking to those dead spots in the far corners of your house, but they have a reputation of being tricky to set up. With the Nighthawk AC1900 Wi-Fi Range Extender EX7000 ($169.99), setup is as easy as it gets, but more importantly, this dual-band extender delivers outstanding throughput on both bands. Unlike most extenders, the EX7000($139.06 at Amazon) is big, and it's expensive, but it's equipped with multiple connectivity ports and offers Media Server and access-control features. Its top-shelf performance and robust feature set earn it our Editors' Choice for wireless range extenders. Design and Features The EX7000 is much bigger than a typical plug-in range extender, such as the D-Link Wi-Fi Dual Band Range Extender (DAP-1520)($39.99 at Dell Technologies). Measuring 1.2 by 9.9 by 6.9 inches (HWD) and sporting a shiny, black finish and three adjustable antennas, it could easily be mistaken for a full-blown router, which means ...

The Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 Wi-Fi Range Extender (EX7000) is a well-appointed dual-band extender that delivers league-leading throughput on both bands.

Excellent throughput on both bands; Easy to install and configure; Five Gigabit LAN ports; Generous settings options

Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 EX7000 WiFi Extender

The Netgear AC1900-Nighthawk (EX7000) is the fastest Wi-Fi extender Netgear has produced yet, boasting a top speed of 600Mbps at 2.4GHz and 1,300Mbps at 5GHz. It also packs in a host of extra features, making it perhaps the ultimate Wi-Fi extender for home and small-business use.

Class-leading AC1900 performance; Five Ethernet ports for connecting non-Wi-Fi kit; USB 3.0 port for fast file access and sharing printers; Easy to setup

Need the right hardware to make the most of it; Tries to force you to sign up for Netgear online services; 1yr warranty seems low for the price

Review: Netgear EX7000 AC1900 WiFi Range Extender

Weak WiFi range is the bane of most households, and while 802.11ac can improve things, it isn't the be all end all if you're using one device. Enter Netgear's Nighthawk Range Extender. Can this fix our WiFi woes?

Easy setup and maintenance; Stylish; Offers five Gigabit Ethernet ports; Fastlane technology to dedicate the whole of a band for one thing: connecting to the original router or sending out reception and data

Doesn't extend the WiFi name; meaning you're forced to connect to another network; not just keep working off the one you were using already; Expensive

Got great reviews, but

I was initially thrilled that the WPS connection button seemed to work like a charm, but quickly discovered that the green lights did not mean the extender was connected to my router. Tried calling tech support 3 times, still haven't heard back from them after 3 days.

great reviews

non-existent tech support; ineffective troubleshooting in box and on-line; never worked

It is Good

This has boosted my signal throughout, not incredibly but it has improved. The difference is that there is a dramatic speed increase which is what it s all about. I currently have the latest Virgin router but it definitely needed this to boost the Wi-Fi performance.
