Great Speed, Awful Range
I bought this item to replace my old DGN 2000 because the wifi just stop working. The old router had great range even in my two story house, but this one pretty much works only in the line of sight.- Easy to set up
- High price
- poor connection
Great... on paper.
The specs of this unit are great on paper, but the unit suffers from several problems. Firstly it is of poor build quality. The stand is extremely flimsy and is not designed to be used on its side. The stand has already started to droop to one side because of the poor quality.
Not made for businesses
The Netgear N600 will not pass traffic to the rest of the network unless you use the DHCP function on the router. This is not an option for me (or anyone else who uses a Windows domain with DHCP and DNS communicating with each other).- Intuitive and easy-to-navigate GUI
- Wi-Fi cannot browse the local network if you are not using DHCP on the router to handle your IP addressing
- This is a crucial flaw that means no one in my work network can use the wireless, as I have a separate Windows server handling DHCP duties
Don't go by specifications, terrible performance.
Bought this from US. Terrible range and speeds. Frequent issues. Often cannot get signal even 10 feet away on same floor. Despite impressive specs, probably netgear's worst.
Would definitely buy again
Working great. Installation had to be done thru their Tech support because of ATT block. Great tech person who broke thru that block and then all went quickly and easily.
A Dual-Band Modem-Router : Netgear DGND3700
The Netgear DGND3700 is a well featured piece of kit that can handled you wireless network without breaking sweat. However it is more suited to an experienced user who would be more confident when it comes to make changes to the product's settings. Checking the Internet I have seen this product...
Good product, poor range
This router has several great features, was very easy to setup, and is reliable. However the range is a lot less than expected for the price paid and doesn't go much further than the room it's located in.
Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Router ADSL2+ Modem Router (DGND3700)
Netgear's N600 Wireless Dual Band Router ADSL2+ combines two functions in one unit: it acts as both a router and a DSL modem. While most Americans use cable modem services for broadband Internet connectivity, DSL is the second most widely-used connection service, particularly in rural part of the...- Advanced features
- Combined DSL modem and router in one device
- Two USB ports
- Advanced VPN features
- Throughput not as good as Netgear's N750 dual-band router
- DSL setup may be difficult for inexperienced users
- Some sluggish performance applying settings in the management interface
Netgear N600 DGND3700 review
A high-end dual-band router for both cable and ADSL2+ connections that delivers excellent wireless speeds
Lots of router with dsl modem built in, frustrating setup
I've been into computers since the 90's and I've built dozens, setup a very few networks but I have- DSL modem
- simultaneous dual band 2.4/5 Ghz wireless
- site blocking
- guest wifi
- many options
- My setup was a bit of a pain
- pricey
