Netgear N600 DGND3700 Wireless N ADSL2+ Modem Router Review
This year at CES2011, Netgear showed off their new N600 Series of Modems, Routers, & DLNA equipment. We reported on it at the time and showed you the entire lineup of products Netgear had coming out. Fast forward a few months and their lineup is out on the market and in full swing.
Netgear DGND3700 router
Choosing a new router can be a jargon-filled headache, and it's made more difficult by the fact that it's not always made clear whether a model is suitable for cable broadband or standard ADSL , typically over a BT line.
NETGEAR N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit ADSL 2+ Modem Router (DGND3700v2)
A few months ago we took a look at a high end router from Netgear, the WNDR4500 along with the accompanying USB adapter the WNDA4100. We found the combination of the WNDR4500 and WNDA4100 to offer great functionality with a simple set up process and exceptional wireless speed.
NETGEAR N600 DGND3700 Wireless-N Dual Band Modem Router + 4-port switch
Really disappointed with this modem/router. Would have thought Netgear would do better. Am in the process of returning it to see if there is actually something wrong with it- Looks nice
- The range is terrible
- Worse than "el cheapo" modem/router supplied by broadband supplier.
Worst router ever made, stay away.
I bought a Version 1 DGND3700 over a year ago that never worked correctly, it was replaced and the new one had the same issues that are known across the community of customers. Since this was an on going issue that was never resolved I figure Netgear would fix it or replace it, I was proven wrong...

Firmware issue with no resolution from Netgear
I have had similar problems to over reviewers... intial setup was great, fantastic speeds and within an hour the problems start. The firmware appears to corrupt as menu options disappear, settings can't be changed and soft and hard resets don't resolve the issue.
Netgear DGND3700 IEEE 802.11n Modem/Wireless Router
Pros: Easy setup. The router's settings were very easy to customize. Good advanced settings. Cons: Poor range (worse than the 40 dollar router that it almost replaced.) Would not hold a signal to my wireless, network HP printer, nor would the WPS button work with the HP printer.
I am on my second unit, both continually disconnects very unreliable
