Not worth the price.

I bought this item to replace my LinkSys AE1000, which has speed fluctuation issues. However the NetGear A6200 showed him self even worse then my old one. First of all it is USB 2.0 for $70. Second of all - Real reception is terrible.

Looks funky; Easy to install, yet CD is required for WIN 7 64 bit

Bad reception; Speed fluctuations; Drops connection every 4-6 hrs

Really Bad, Netgear needs to fix this now

Windows 8 troubleshooter will sometimes fix the signal disconnect by resetting the adapter. But other times, Windows 8 reports that the driver has in fact failed and the troubleshooter can do no more. At this point I usually manually disconnect the adapter from the cradle and reattach it.

Lighting fast adapter that, when paired with an AC router, makes a great combination for breakneck speed; Aesthetically nice to look at, and doesnt take much space on your desk at all

Where do I begin? First of all, for the price you pay, the customer should have a working adapter in a Windows 8 environment; I have tried absolutely every thing; Netgear's latest driver at the time of this writing .26 drivers have failed to prevent the frequent disconnections and dropped signals...

Netgear 802.11ac A6200 WiFi Adapter

802.11ac is a new wireless standard worth getting excited about, even though it has yet to be ratified. Netgear has a solid 11ac router on the market, the R6300 WiFi Router 802.11ac Dual Band Gigabit , and an 802.11ac wireless adapter to go with it: the 802.11ac A6200 WiFi Adapter .

Supports 802.11ac

Unimpressive throughput; Buggy software.

It works and is pretty fast. From time to time I have to disconnect it from the USB port and reconnect it for it to be recognised by Windows 10, but it may very well be an issue with my old machine and not the device. Works well enough.

Netgear A6200 review

We've waited patiently for the world's first 802.11ac wireless internet adaptor and finally it's here in the shape of the Netgear A6200. This is a good thing, since we've complained a lot recently that all the 802.11ac routers in the world are largely useless. Why?

Good but with major flaw that you can and must easily resolve

Works fine once you address flaw, but disappointing that flaw still not fixed in firmware a year later after initial release. Took me a while to run the problem down, at first I thought it was my system config and wasted time chasing until I found the issue via Google. Hope this post helps others.

Has very good range for both 2.4 and 5 GHz; Speed good but will ultimately be limited by USB 2.0 constraint.

Has flaw where connect intermittently drops out, and where it will consistently NOT reconnect at system restart; Google "A6200 or WNDA3100v2 wireless adapter intermittently disconnects" and you'll find more info on this issue on the Netgear site and elsewhere.

Good device Bad support

Don't waste your time with phone support. Took almost all of the time getting personal information that was right in front of him in New Delhi India and assigning a case number. Then he didn't try to solve my set-up problem. I did find a solution on the Netgear website.

Fast Connection Speed; Reliable connection; Secure Connection

Difficult To Set Up

Netgear A6200 review

The Netgear A6200 11ac adaptor provides good performance at range which can be more than double that of a current 802.11n laptop 3x3 MIMO setup. Here's our Netgear A6200 review.

Netgear A6200 review

The Netgear A6200 11ac adaptor provides good performance at range which can be more than double that of a current 802.11n laptop 3x3 MIMO setup. The addition of an attractive design and the ability to mount this in a USB slot vertically are an added bonus. For the best of the bunch though look to the Asus AC-56.
