Pure Garbage

What confuses me most is that nearly every person who gave this game high stars complained about what a disappointment it was. So, why give it high ratings? Let's call it what it is: pure garbage. This was bar-none the single worst racing game I've ever played.

Not having played the PC Version of "Need for Speed", I thought that "Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit" was pretty decent. It has some cool animation and I just love crashing the hell out of other cars.

Well, to start off, the full game boasts plenty events for both a Cop and Racer. The events, usually, have a select choice of cars and the routes taken are quite fun to drive.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit

The Burnout veterans from Criterion get their turn to give the Need for Speed-series a try, and the result is a wonderful mix of burning rubber and wailing sirens...

Great feeling in the cars; breathtaking tempo; great graphics; tons of stuff to do; good variation

The Autolog needs friends to have a point; the AI and the police modes could have used more work

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Review (PS3)

Here comes the fuzz Recently I accidentally found out that my Microsoft Kinect transmitted my most intimate verbal procrastinations into the ears of my pals. This proved rather embarrassing as I discussed to myself theories on why the island from Lost and Balamory are the same place, only for people...

Fantastic driving mechanics; Tense battling amongst racers and cops; Difficult and rewarding career more; Seamless online play

Camera can occasionally focus on crashes more than actual racing

Review: Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit

There's so much new in Hot Pursuit that the game feels the need to hold your hand as you open up each menu option, forcing you to listen to the voiceover long after you've pressed every button to skip it.

Deep single player and extensive online options; Autolog is a cool feature; The cars look and sound fabulous

The races aren't always as exciting as they should be; The framerate; although solid; is a disappointment

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit review

Over the years the Need for Speed franchise had lost its identity. EA have steered the series to whatever the current trend may be. One year undercover cop, another year serious street racer.

Autolog system is a revelation; In gaming pursuits are brilliant; Looks good.

Replay 'busted' camera can be distracting

'Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit' (PS3)

fix. The EA property may be have been milked to death in recent years, but given that it's the most successful racing series of all time, the studio aren't about to let it fall by the wayside.
