Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit for PS3 Review

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is available on the PS3 and other gaming platforms. The game has a ton of licensed vehicles with exotics down to more common Mustangs and more. The studio behind that game is Criterion, the same company that made the fantastic racing title Burnout: Paradise City.

Great graphics; Lots of cars; Fantastic online play

None that I can see

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Review

(continued from previous page) ...Pursuit. On the surface, it's a gorgeous, easy-to-play racer with great controls and exciting crashes, but look further and you'll find that Hot Pursuit is a game that gets just about everything right.

Beautiful graphics; even at full speed; Playing as both cops and racers creates diverse gameplay; The Autolog system offers enormous connectivity

The AI is a bit predictable; The game modes may become a bit repetitive

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Review

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit , the latest iteration in Electronic Arts long-running racing franchise, is about as polished and viscerally satisfying a racing game as you're likely to find.

Perfect blend of Need for Speed and Burnout; Gorgeous cars and track settings; Freely jump between cops and racers; Autolog adds great level of competition to multiplayer

Has a bit of an identity crisis; AI racers are frustratingly perfect at times; No free ride cop activities

Interceptor; Hot Pursuit; Online play

No Interceptor as racer in career; Free drive; No customization

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit

With 2008's Burnout Paradise , Criterion Games solidified its spot as the king of fast-paced, arcade-style racing. So when Electronic Arts decided it was ready to take the Need for Speed series back to its early roots -- with its high-speed, open-road chases -- it was smart to tap the Guildford,...

The iPhone has been responsible for some genuine gaming gems since the inception of the App Store back in 2008. Of course the appeal of such meagrely priced games is the option to enjoy some fast, user-friendly, pocket-sized fun on the go.

This Ain't a War, It's Racin'

It's just plain fun. No other way around it. Criterion managed to bring back a series on the brink of collapse and make it into the best racing game of the year. Try to fill up your friends list with racers, though, as the experience hinges on it.
