NHL 18 Review – Proving One Game Mode at a Time That Innovation Is Everything

As a relatively long standing fan of the NHL series, I was among those disappointed with EA's decision to strip away a lot of key features way back at NHL 15. Of course, with that said I too celebrated the return of the series the following year and have enjoyed watching EA elevate the franchise...

NHL Threes is awesome; New additions; Tons of game to play

No story for Be a Pro Mode; Commentary could use a facelift

Digging Deep To Earn Its Keep

Speed and skill are a given in the modern NHL, but those traits alone don't anoint Stanley Cup champions. Beating the best in the world takes more than tape-to-tape passes and wicked slappers.

NHL 18 Review

Cool as puck

Great gameplay; Training Camp is really useful; NHL Threes is fun

Commentary is too familiar; Modes see seldom change; Animations don't seem to have been updated

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite

The greatest favor players diving into Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite can do for themselves is to forget that everything between X-Men vs. Street Fighter and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 ever happened. In general, the game is inferior to all five titles in Capcom's Vs.

An Infinity Gem wrapped in a paper bag

Playing Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite reminded me of a scene from Star Trek I saw as a child. It involved Kirk and Spock playing an intense game of chess , but on seven boards of varying sizes, all floating over each other.

The Infinity Stones allow for more creative strategies and styles; New tag system places more emphasis on skill over automation; Mechanics are deep and complex but casual players are accommodated; Story mode is fun and engaging throughout

Inconsistent character models; Overall presentation is lacking in personality and flair

NHL 18

We've been playing NHL games regularly ever since the first NHL game was released for PC back in 1994, and it's fair to say that the franchise has taken up quite a lot of our time. We would happily admit that the annual release of this hockey game is a highlight for us.

Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite Review

Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite may have some visual flaws, but its's gameplay is so strong that its not too hard to overlook them.

PS4 Review - 'Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite'

Buy Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite The good news is that Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite actually plays very well, on- or offline. The bad news is, well, almost everything else. Infinite has had a rough road to release. Despite being janky and somewhat broken, Marvel vs.
