Motorola Moto G82 5G (6GB RAM, 128GB, Meteorite Grey) - BRAND NEW review
With the Moto G82 5G, Motorola brings a solid mid-range phone onto the market that looks rather plain at first sight. But it does stand out from the competition in several details: Hardly any other smartphone in this price range offers optical image stabilization for the main camera.
Pros:
- bright OLED screen, DC dimming, OIS for the main camera, lots of LTE frequencies, DRM and IP certification, many Bluetooth codecs, long battery life, relatively light
Cons:
- screen only moderately color accurate, location not always accurate, phonecalls over loudspeaker muffled, short update promise..., ... and rare security patches

the Motorola g82 brings new meaning to the value segment
Pros:
- Great FHD+ 1.07b 144Hz AMOLED screen, Thin, light, and premium finish, Great battery life and charging speeds (33W charger inbox), The camera is excellent, but video is so-so, Good for city and suburban phone use
Cons:
- IP52 is barely adequate, Missing optical zoom

- Stabilised main camera takes impressively clear snaps
- Long-lasting battery
Cons:
- More powerful rivals don’t cost much more
- Macro camera doesn’t add much value
- No 4K video recording

Pros:
- Great colours, powerful phone, big storage capacity, good reception, easy set up, very good battery life, comes with fast charger too. Great that the phone comes with a transparent case.
Cons:
- The combined finger print and power button takes a bit of getting used to, my previous Motorola phone had the finger print sensor on the back. Need to play around with the settings, but not sure if I can film video in landscape mode though. Not a deal breaker.

Great phone
So far it has been great. I love that it is very much vanilla and I can uninstall any pre-installed apps. I'm happy with the camera. Sound is amazing! Screen protector is not included. Overall, very happy with this phone.

Great value mobile 'phone at an affordable price.
The G82 is a sturdy, reliable device that's easy to set up out of the box. However, calibrating the fingerprint sensor was awkward and took a little time to set up. The camera is great with enough settings to make photos look great enough for most applications. Once connected to the other Google devices, it's a dream to use. Highly recommended and great value for money.
