No security patches are released
My phone is still on the January 2017 security patch and Moto/Lenovo are not releasing security patches, in the UK at least. Therefore I cannot recommend this to anyone. Otherwise it would get four/five stars.

Great phone
Replacing the older MotoG which has served me well. The memory is so much bigger, the battery lasts well. I like the fingerprint opening feature and the two-shakes for the torch to switch on.

No Data on Tmobile, Poor Call Quality
The description clearly stated that it would work with T-mobile in the US. After trying to use the phone and resetting it a couple of times with T-mobile directly, it really does not work. Calls and texts are fine most of the time. No clear sound though and lots of dropped calls. Forget about data.

Fantastic battery life
Purchased for my dad who'd just about had it with his iPhone and it's rubbish battery life. The g5 is great, excellent camera, and long lasting battery. Pretty light too.

Buyer beware
Phone is still working, but a few red flags: The updates notifications are in Spanish when nothing else is. The GPS is flakey. I have to reboot my phone sometimes to get it working. I have caught it rebooting a few times for no reason. All problems in not sure I can get fixed since I bought online.

Durability The Motorola Moto G5 has the needed durability to make it a practical friend. It is precision crafted from high grade aluminium and this has been given a diamond cut finish.

Motorola Moto G5
The 5th generation Moto G5 phone is a good value mid-range phone with smart looks, smooth performance, a decent camera, and reasonable battery life. It's not the most exciting phone you can buy, but it's a safe low-cost option.

Lenovo Moto G5 review: a Pixel for less than $300
For this latest phone in the Moto G series, not much has changed really. This minor technical evolution is not necessarily a mistake on the part of Lenovo, because the device has nevertheless evolved intelligently. The Moto G5 is simply a more modern version of its predecessor.
Pros:
- Pure Android interface
- Good value for money
- Good screen
- Removable battery
- Good photo quality in decent light
Cons:
- Small internal memory
- Low photo quality in low light
