Disappointing Experience

I purchased the Miele WWB360 WCS in November 2025 from Harvey Norman, and after two months of use, I am deeply unsatisfied. For a premium appliance, the performance and logic are significantly lacking. Here are the main issues: Excessive Fabric Wear: While the machine is water-efficient, it comes at a high cost. The friction from the low water levels is incredibly harsh on clothes. Several of my cotton T-shirts have noticeably thinned out after just a few washes. Impractical "Eco" Cycle: The Eco program takes over four hours. If you start a load after dinner, it won't finish until midnight. It’s completely unrealistic for a modern household schedule. Lack of Flexibility (No Standalone Rinse/Spin): There is no dedicated "Rinse Spin" cycle. If you accidentally add too much detergent and need an extra rinse, you’re out of luck. There is no simple way to add a cycle manually. Rigid Programming: If you need to change the program after it has started, the machine forces you to drain the water and restart from scratch. This is a massive waste of both water and detergent. Lack of Smart Sensing: Despite the price tag, the machine lacks intelligent detection. It follows the same default routine regardless of the load size or detergent amount, making it feel "dumb" compared to cheaper competitors. Poor UI & Hidden Information: In a misguided attempt to "save power," the display stays dark during the cycle. Unlike other machines where you can see the remaining time from across the room, I have to walk over and manually press a button just to see how much time is left. Obnoxious Sound Alarm: Once the wash is finished, the machine beeps incessantly. If you don't go and turn it off immediately, it keeps chiming, which is incredibly disruptive to sleep or quiet time at home. Furthermore, it will make another sound when you turn the knob to "off". The service at Harvey Norman was excellent—I am very satisfied with their team and the buying process. However, the washing machine itself has been a massive disappointment over the last two months. I regret this purchase. Do not buy Miele WWB360WCS 8Kg Washing Machine.
