Yes, if you’re looking for a cordless vacuum that can do it all. Long battery life combined with sturdy attachments, and the ability to transform into three different types of vacuums means there isn’t really a cleaning problem the Miele Triflex HX1 Cat & Dog can’t solve.
Long battery life; Sturdy attachments; Excellent utility
Expensive; Moderate suction
Just love this stick vacuum, it’s the best. Previously had another well known brand which I wasn’t at all happy with. I love Miele vacuums, they do a wonderful job.
A brilliant vacuum cleaner. We'd vacuumed our whole house with our outgoing S6 the day before we bought this one, so we weren't expecting to pick up much. In 18 minutes, which is how long it took to do the whole house with this nifty vacuum cleaner - I had to empty the canister 6 times - all manner of cat fur, hair and dust had been left behind by our other cleaner. The pet head is so smooth and easy to use on doonas, cat trees, couches and more. This Miele HX1 is noticeably more sturdy than other makes and models, which does make it a bit heavier but we like the feeling of quality that comes from it - it's obviously going to last a long time. The ability to move the canister down the shaft will help people with weaker wrists. If you have a carpeted house this is probably the best vacuum cleaner on the market. Sucks harder than other makes, and has an unparalleled build quality to it. On the question battery life - I used about half the battery during 25 minutes of mixed low/medium
A little tricky to assemble for the first time and get the most advantageous set up. Once that’s done and you put the machine into action, WOW. I use now every day, wiz around the house in no time.
Powerful, smooth, quiet and practical. The lighted powerhead that works on carpet, tiles and hardwood floors is fantastic. The 3 different cordless modes is pure genius, a design which others will no doubt imitate now. Beats all the numerous wheezy and breathless Dysons I've owned over the years. 4 stars as the only uncertainty is how long will it last? Hopefully longer than the 12-18 month lifespan of a Dyson!
Still getting used to this vacuum after 4 years of Bosch sticks (which only lasted 2 years each) and I wish I could give it 5 stars. I'm giving it 4 because for the price, I would not like to hear plastic creaking in the handle when I vacuum. The design is good, but it could be better. The suction is fantastic, the run time is extraordinary and once you get used to frequently emptying the canister (as it does not hold much at all) it is very enjoyable to use. I have not used the smaller head yet but plan to on future fabric sofas. I have tried it with the battery and canister up high and don't like as it bumps against your hip, plus you can not stand it upright on the floor. I purchased because the canister and battery are at the bottom where the weight feels better for vacuuming (which is why I stuck to Bosch for so long). I like the idea that I can purchase an extra battery. I will be letting Miele know about the cheap plastic noise as it definitely spoils what I call an exp
The 'good guys' are simply the worst. Ordered in Jan. Received in April. Customer service hung up on me. They still kept advertising the product at reduced 'sale' prices while my item was supposedly (no notification) on order for three months. JUST THE WORST!
