Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite

In the video-game business, the stakes are high. So, the Big Three have detailed road maps and five-year plans. A new console usually remains unchanged for at least a few Christmases, save for possible software updates and minor technical variations. However, this isn't the case with the Xbox 360.

Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite review

It's reached that stage again in the console war. Everyone's made their big opening salvo – now it's down to all sides taking pops at each other from the trenches by releasing add-ons and special editions. But even knowing all of that the Xbox 360 Elite is a peculiar beast.

When it was first released, Microsoft's Xbox 360 was the ultimate gaming machine. It had no equal and there was nothing standing in its way as the leading, and the only, high-definition gaming device. Things change, and for Microsoft this change came with the release of Sony's PlayStation 3 .

HDMI support; 1080p resolution on HD-DVD; 120GB hard drive; Black finish

Expensive; No dedicated optical out port; No remote control; restrictive hard drive transfer procedures

Microsoft's Xbox 360 Elite is here, and this version of the sleek game console offers more than just cosmetic improvements. The unit's bolstered specs - such as a 120GB hard disk drive and an HDMI 1.2 connector, perfect for today's high-def TVs - mean more room to store digital content, and a better...

It's finally here. The fabled Xbox 360 Elite that's been abuzz for far longer than it ever should have been… not that we weren't monitoring it for you. It comes loaded to the teeth and shows the folks at Sony exactly how business is done by including high quality cables and components for full...

Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite – with 120GB hard drive, missing onboard Wi-Fi

Microsoft Xbox 360 was the first next-generation game console launched in 2006. The company had tried to capture back the market from Sony PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii. In September 2009, Microsoft has replaced Xbox 360 Elite with Microsoft Xbox Pro 60GB console, which we had reviewed earlier.

Countless hours of entertainment

If you need a nice piece of equipment to complete you home theater, this is it. With Netflix streaming and great HD games, it will compliment anyones home theater system.

It does it all; If you want to play games, watch movies, Facebook, Twitter, or video chat, you will be able to do it all on this system; It has something for everyone! The newer XBox360 model do not suffer from red ring of death issue that was rampant in the past.

You do need to buy the video camera separate for video chat; Also if you plan to use a wireless network connection, you will need to purchase a separate wireless adapter or bridge adapter

The xbox 360 elite in my opinion is way better than the PS3 slim from the graphics, to the games, to the price and the fact that you have to pay for xbox live does not bother me because the money is worth it. The quality of xbox live is way better than PSN (playstation network).

Fantastic games; Fantastic graphics; Fantastic price; Fantastic online experience
