Microsoft Surface Pro 4 review: Best of the breed

When you step in the shoes that were once filled by Bill Gates, you better hope that you fulfill your role. Steve Ballmer unfortunately took upon the intimidating task and his reign lasted a good 13 years.

Super fast! A little quirky.

-DOES NOT COME WITH THE KEYBOARD COVER! Does, however, come with the surface pen. -The micro SD slot is hard to find. It's tucked away underneath the kickstand on the right side, about an inch lower than the power port.
Pros:
  • -Extremely fast startup -Runs fast
  • -Light -Long battery life, especially on low brightness and with power-saving mode on
  • -Completely silent unless it gets super-hot and actually has to turn on the fans, at which point it is still fairly quiet.
Cons:
  • -Gets pretty warm under heavy stress, but it still doesn't take a hit to it's performance
  • -When connecting to my TV, I have to make sure I restart the tablet first or one of two things happens: either the touchscreen stops working, or it won't recognize the TV as a sound playback device.

Microsoft Surface Pro 4 review

From Gadget of the Year to a gadget you shouldn't go near, for now. The new Surface is great as a laptop and sorely lacking as a tablet.
Pros:
  • Fantastic screen
  • Even better keyboard and stylus
  • Impeccably fast processor
Cons:
  • Continuum was supremely buggy
  • The Windows Store is still short on apps
  • Cortana often falls on its face

So far, so good....

So I have had my Surface Pro 4 for about a week now. I was disappointed that it didn't have a partial charge when I took it out of the box (I was having lunch at a restaurant) but once it was charged and working, it seems to work great.
