Probably the best device of its type
This was an upgrade for a well-used Surface Pro 3 i5. As long as you're OK with the compromises that this form factor involves - not many ports, slightly awkward on your lap, the type cover offers a pretty good typing experience but it cannot equal the best laptops - then this is a really impressive...

Classy keyboard
The keyboard is compact and very easy to use. The black colour compliments the tablet it attaches to and it has a very stylish finish.

Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Review
The Surface Pro 4 is the best 2-in-1 PC we've ever tested.
Pros:
- New Type Cover is wonderful
- Pen is standard and works well
- Pixel-dense display
- Strong performance in all areas
Cons:
- Still heavy compared to dedicated tablets
- Battery can drain quickly in real-world use

For its price, much leaves to be desired in terms of performance. Though it is a very functional piece of hardware with a pressure sensitive screen, great for artists wanting to bring their work on the go. But I'm not too confident bringing it out because of how expensive it is.

Surprisingly Powerful
At first I was weary of only 4gb of ram but this little thing runs VERY smoothly. I have no problem running multiple applications including Gimp, Corel, and 3d design software at the same time.

So far, so good....
So I have had my Surface Pro 4 for about a week now. I was disappointed that it didn't have a partial charge when I took it out of the box (I was having lunch at a restaurant) but once it was charged and working, it seems to work great.

Definitely a situational device.
So I've owned mine now for 1 year and just a couple of thoughts for perspective buyers. Honestly if you aren't going to use the pen or the device in tablet mode atleast 50% of the time get a laptop.
