Metro revisited

There's not many games I play twice but I am glad I did for the PS4 re-make of Metro. The PS4 has graphically taken this game up to the next level making for a highly enjoyable and atmospheric experience. Very true to the original game but now with an extra mode that makes it more FPS based and helps the action flow. Well recommended.

Metro Redux Review

There seems to be several games recently getting the re-mastered treatment and while for those people who own the originals the choice of whether to purchase them again is not as simple, for newcomers to the titles it's a great way to experience them in a new lick of paint!

Metro: Redux Review

Despite their seemingly miserable setting, both Metro games are in fact fun, diverse shooter-adventures, and the remastered 2033 does a good job of smoothing down the original's rougher edges at the expense of some of its brutal personality.

Survival and Sentinel modes; Better AI; Stealth hunting

Monster crowds; Silly accents

(PlayStation 4 Review) Metro Redux

After the dissolution of developer GSC Game World in 2011, the studio's popular post-apocalyptic first-person shooter series S.T.A.L.K.E.R. vanished into licensing limbo. Out of the studio's demise rose 4A Games, intent on returning players to an irradiated Russia brimming with mutants, monsters,...

Metro Redux Review

The difficulty range of the Metro series has always been particularly unforgiving; the harder difficulty you choose, the worse an already stringent game environment can get. For the Redux version the play modes for both games have become more streamlined, broken up into two categories: Survival and...

Two great games for the price of one; Huge graphics upgrade; Same great story; Revamped difficulty system works well with the game design

Metro Redux

I'm not one to exactly hide my unabashed enthusiasm for anything related to the Metro series. I think both games are fantastic, each in their own way, and heartily recommend them to anyone who ever asks me about them. I love the books, owning them in both digital and physical form. So am I a fan?

Improved graphics and animations; new areas and enemy encounters; updates the first game to play more like the second, streamlining the experience

Not much reason to buy this if you already own both games; graphical issues on PC
