Marantz AV8805 A/V Surround Processor Review

I'm a big advocate of Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, and whenever someone experiences those formats in my home theater they are blown away by how much the overhead effects draw you into the movie experience.

Supports Dolby Atmos; DTS:X; and Auro-3D formats; 13 processing channels and 15 audio outputs; Clean; highly detailed sound

Very narrow remote sensor

Great processor

Big improvement over the AV8801. Excellent UX and easy setup. Audio and Video noticeably better. Worth the money. Highly recommended.

Marantz AV8805 AV processor review

Some will own the previous AV8802A and be wondering if they should upgrade. What else is new here beyond the expansion to 13.2 channels HEOS multiroom, Amazon Alexa voice command support, and eARC ability.

Marantz AV8805 AV Preamp Reviewed

I've had the good fortune to review several of Marantz's top-tier AV preamps in recent years, from the AV8802 to the more recent, feature-laden AV7703 . The AV7703 had a feature set the older AV8802 could not match, but the AV8802 sounded better.
