I have 2 Makita batteries from their drills. I have bought several of their products to use the batteries with. To echo other comments, even thought I think it's clear in the description that this does not come with batteries, make sure you already own Makita batteries before purchasing this.

Powerful and great vacuum cleaner, cleans up everything including dust smaller than sand. I would be even more happy if if was easier to clean after using it. When cleaning, it is difficult without having dust around the cleaner itself.
