Much better than the newer 300 AW II

I have used the original Flipside 300 for over five years and it has definitely spoiled me! I love that backpack but I needed a second one and was looking forward to the improvements of the 300 AW II. Unfortunately it was a disappointment so I returned it and bought another Flipside 300.

Bad

The velcro liner was so limited inside that it gave little adjustment range. The waist strap is thin and does not give enough support to swing a loaded bag around on your waist. Wildly over-rated. it's simply ordinary.

This is my first real camera bag and I absolutely love it! All my equipment easily fits in it, but if you are a (semi) pro and use more than one camera body or more than 2 lenses you do need a bigger one.

great bag, worth the money!

brilliant bag! very strong, very strudy. holds my canon 70d with a 400mm f/5.6 attached to it, along with my 100mm macro lens, teleconverter, flash, batteries, etc and has a tripod strap too

Lowepro Flipside 300

Found the perfect bag to carry the D700 with Sigma 150-500 attached: LowePro Flipside 300. Leaves plenty of room for accessories. It even has a clip on the front to carry a monopod/tripod.

Very good product from Lowepro

Flipside 300 is a very tough looking and easy to use backpack for any DSLR camera kit. Actually I wanted one where I cold fit my Canon 600D, Canon 350D, Lenses Tamron 18-200, Tamron 75-300, Canon 18-55, Canon 70-300, Two battery chargers, four different filters (58 mm and 62 mm types), Camera guide,...

Kanonbra bag! Tripod Strap, however, could have been a little further up, then medium sized tripod like to lean a little backward in the current situation.

Flipside 300 Camera Bag

"Most, if not all, the reviews regarding these bags fail to take into consideration one of the most essential elements of any outdoor activity where hiking is involved, as is often the case in nature/landscape photography. I'm talking about WATER (hydration) for the photographer.

The Flipside is far superior to the Lowepro Slingshot series, Tamrac Velocity series, and lumbar packs like the Moutainsmith Photo Tour. The most significant difference is the level of support provided. Ergonomically, the Flipside maintains symmetry throughout your body.

Brilliant design; Security; Ergonomics

Not the most comfortable pack; Price

Great pack for a small kit

Don't get this if you plan on carrying more than 4 or 5 lenses and a single camera body.

Great bag for a kit of about 4 to 5 lenses (one lens attached to a single body) and a flash; Heres what I have in the bag, 40D with 30mm attached, 150mm vertical in the center column, and a wide angle 11-16 and 50mm along the left side of the 150 with a 430exII, battery charger and dust blower along...

Honestly; I should have bought the all black version; the red is not really red but more of a maroon color
