Z905 ++
Replaced my z5500 speakers, did a lot of testing, the only thing i could find was the subwoofer was able to pack a bigger punch at max load, but as im in an apartment i would never use that much power anyways.
Pros:
- Z906 has its amp in the sub - z5500 has its amp in the control console Z906 made not only for pc users but for tv and console systems as well Distortion free at high levels Hard hitting bass for movies/games/music Looks sexy Produces no heat
- where as the z5500 has heat spreaders to control the mass...
Cons:
- Differences z906 vs 5500 z906 165 watts 8" sub- z5500 187 watts 10" sub The console controller can be edited to have +20 sound booster as well as changing the skin of the lcd screen
- plus a lot of people prefer the lcd screen on the 5500 vs the 906 but i honestly do not miss it at all Does have true...

Bring the house down
These speakers are amazing. 500 watts of clean power. When you turn the volume up there's no denying the fact that these speakers rock!

The Logitech Z906 Surround Sound speakers come from a long line of successful speakers released by Logitech over the past decade. The Z906 have some significantly large boots to fill, since the Z5500 were a spectacular set of PC speakers released 6 years ago.

Best PC speakers and Home theater in a box out there.
I own the z-680, z-5500, and now the z-906 I could not be happier with these speakers. They sound fantastic. Some people say they are expensive but I dare you to walk into Best Buy and find a better 5.1 system for $399.99. Trust me you wont cause I used to work there.
Pros:
- Excellent sound overall
- The bass will not disappoint
- Sound is super clear and loud without distortion
Cons:
- Logitech replaced the control module from one with a LCD display to just lights
- Still gets the job done just in my opinion not as nice

Pros:
- -Durable
- solid design -THX Certified -Plenty of power for a desktop gaming PC
Cons:
- -Not as many features as is predecessor

Logitech all the way
In all honesty, I can't find a thing wrong with this system. It's easy to install, easy tour and easy to listen to. If your not willing to fork out for a full blown setup in your lounge room this is more than well equipped for the job.

couldn't be more happy
i've had these for about 1 month and have been so happy. Amazing sound and extreme bass. I have never owned the logitech z-550 that was replaced by this, which people said the bass was stronger then this one casue of the 10"sub instead of the 8"sub on this but this packs alot of bass, more then...

LOGITECH Z906 5.1 Speaker System
Having read about a million reviews online looking for cheap(ish) HQ 5.1/7.1 surround sound system *with optical input*, this leaves you with pretty much one option - the Z906. So many folks argued about faults they've had with the system after a couple of months (speakers dying, etc.
Pros:
- I like the clear strong bass
- fantastic compatibility and functionality
- sexy look and wall mountable speakers
Cons:
- I don't like the lack absence of a wall mounting kit
- nor the fact I only have this setup in one room...

Logitech Z906 review
Watching movies through your PC or laptop shouldn't mean you have to compromise on sound quality. Logitech's 5.1-channel system aims to deliver the sort of home cinema thrills you'd expect from a full-on home cinema system, and gets off to a good start with THX certification.
