Imagine using Windows 8 on a laptop or desktop without a touch screen. It isn't fun, the fanfare of Windows 8 quickly wares off and you are left with feeling gipped. Luckily mouse manufacturers like Logitech began looking for solutions to this problem and came up with some pretty good ideas.

Logitech comes through again with the Zone Touch mouse to save my windows 8 experience. In three words - quick, simple, perfect. If you've not used Windows 8, it has a "tiled" interface that scrolls horizontally on the display (similar to the Xbox 360 interface).
It looks like new. It connected to my unifying USB in no time and works immediately. It take a while to get use to the swiping strip but it's OK and convenient once you are used to it.
The new Windows 8 was annoying the snot out of me before I figured out some keyboard shortcuts. This mouse makes all the difference when scrolling with tiles, using charms and switching to the desktop easily. All the components of the new interface actually make sense now.

Unless you have just purchased a brand new all-in-one system or notebook with built-in touchscreen, chances are slim tot none that you own a touchscreen...
Now that the Microsoft Windows 8 Operating System (OS) has been released, many are finding that navigation with a mouse is somewhat lacking. Microsoft put much emphasis on touch and if your PC doesn't have a touchscreen display then you are missing out on some of the programs ease of use.
Overall, this is the best ‘normal' (not designed for gaming) mouse I've used in a long time. With the addition of tactile feedback to the scroll pad, it would be a five-star platinum...
