Logitech comes through again with the Zone Touch mouse to save my windows 8 experience. In three words - quick, simple, perfect. If you've not used Windows 8, it has a "tiled" interface that scrolls horizontally on the display (similar to the Xbox 360 interface).

I recently upgraded to Windows 8 and wanted to try some of the "touch" features that were available without spending a fortune. This Mouse fit the bill. Easy to use and set-up and moderately priced. It makes using the touch features very easy, but also allows me to use it as a regular mouse.

Now that the Microsoft Windows 8 Operating System (OS) has been released, many are finding that navigation with a mouse is somewhat lacking. Microsoft put much emphasis on touch and if your PC doesn't have a touchscreen display then you are missing out on some of the programs ease of use.

Logitech has done a fine job bringing mice to the market that at least partially compensate for the lack of a touch screen on a Windows 8 system. Unless you have just purchased a brand new all-in-one system or notebook with built-in touchscreen, chances are slim tot none that you own a touchscreen...

Everything is going touch - so I thought I would try a touch mouse. It is easy to set up and I like the start screen feature on the center button. I got along with it at a table or desk. However, when setting in a chair in front of the TV, I had some problems. These are user problems.

Overall, this is the best ‘normal' (not designed for gaming) mouse I've used in a long time. With the addition of tactile feedback to the scroll pad, it would be a five-star platinum...

The pad allows for both vertical and horizontal scrolling, and is suitably accurate. However, it offers no tactile feedback. It would really have benefited from a 'clicky' mechanism as used by Microsoft on the Arc Touch, where a small speaker beneath the scroll pad generates a quiet but detectable...

Nice looking mouse, beautifully built and finished but its a dud. ergonomically poor - too small in hand, find fingers running off the front of the mouse; stiff left and right buttons, soft centre button give hand cramps.
