Logitech T400 mouse lets you get touchy-feely with Windows 8

Any video editor will tell you that their work is only as good as the performance of their three-button mouse. Traditional three-button input devices are contemptibly clumsy to use and require a bit of practice to master, but the added flexibility of that extra button can mean a big difference in...

The Logitech Zone Touch Mouse T400 has a touch-compatible strip to take advantage of Windows 8 shortcuts; ambidextrous design; a Unifying Receiver which lets you use one USB dongle for up to six Logitech peripherals; and an 18-month battery life with a three-year warranty

The imprecise touch strip makes scrolling an exercise in patience; its low-profile contour can be uncomfortable for bigger hands

The pad allows for both vertical and horizontal scrolling, and is suitably accurate. However, it offers no tactile feedback. It would really have benefited from a 'clicky' mechanism as used by Microsoft on the Arc Touch, where a small speaker beneath the scroll pad generates a quiet but detectable...

be mindful of your finger movement

Everything is going touch - so I thought I would try a touch mouse. It is easy to set up and I like the start screen feature on the center button. I got along with it at a table or desk. However, when setting in a chair in front of the TV, I had some problems. These are user problems.

easy to set up; nice size

easy to give wrong command with finger

Good. Could be great for Pros.

This is the first real 3 button mouse that I've found in a long time. As a VFX professional, I use middle click just as much as most people use left and right click. There are so many people that use middle click everyday and are stuck using ancient mice from the 90's or contorting their fingers to...

Great Windows 8 mouse

I recently upgraded to Windows 8 and wanted to try some of the "touch" features that were available without spending a fortune. This Mouse fit the bill. Easy to use and set-up and moderately priced. It makes using the touch features very easy, but also allows me to use it as a regular mouse.

Logitech Zone Touch Mouse T400

The Logitech Zone Touch Mouse T400 is one of many new devices designed to compliment Microsoft's Windows 8 operating system. Priced at £39.99 and available in a choice of black, red (pictured) and blue, it's an affordable accessory that should enhance productivity on a Windows 8 PC.

Great

Wasn't sure about the touch scrolling and such but now that I've got this mouse for my desktop it feels quite natural and fluid. Definitely not a gaming product but it's great for browsing and such. Good build quality and feel. Solid Logitech product.

Happy with my choice

I use it for my HTPC. It behaves very well on any surface in my living room. The scrolling is not very smooth though. The choppiness could be due to the fact that my HTPC is slightly challenge (it is slow and needs to be replaced).

Pretty good mouse but overpriced

The scroll action is more accurate without setpoint installed on flash based internet games for some reason. It's barely responsive with setpoint installed.

Great tracking

scroll area gets "sticky" as you use it throughout the day and your finger gets clammy or whatever

Not a bad mouse

I recently purchased a touchscreen laptop from Dell. Some things that I do need a mouse, as I don't

Color; Win 8 Gestures; scroll "button"; adaptor

Occasional sensitivity on gestures
