Wave is the way to go

Earlier this year I bought the Logitech 520.....a flat keyboard. I HATED it. I kept making mistakes and misplacing my fingers for months. Finally I chucked it and went for this Wave, which I have owned before. Perfect key positions and feels so good not to keep making errors.

Does what it needs to do.

With my computer below my desk, I had to use the extender cable to raise the height of the receiver to about 1ft above the level of the keyboard and mouse in order to get a strong signal to the receiver, no issues with range after that.

Excellent range when receiver is above the level of the devices; ergo design is decent enough so it it comfortable to type on for extended periods

Keyboard is a little on the noisy side for a non mechanical keyboard; Comes with cheap batteries that don't last; Device range is extremely poor when the receiver is below the level of the devices; Mouse shape is uncomfortable for my hand/wrist for extended use

Excellent Product!

I have used the Logitech Wave for over 5 years and recently purchased a new model to replace my existing one. The battery life was very good on the old one and hopefully it is much improved on this one as stated on the box. Very comfortable, easy to use and a great value.

The "wave" causes typos

I've had this keyboard for a couple years now. I used it to replace a previous Logitech wireless keyboard that finally gave up the ghost. Simply stated, I hate it. (Great mouse, though.) It seems as though I spend more time correcting typos than typing (and has been getting worse).

Disconnects and lags

Keyboard and mouse both seem to occasionally disconnect and takes up to 30secs for it to reconnect again. Keyboard also doesn't like it when you press multiple keys simultaneously - also not good for gaming, as keyboard can disconnect at the most opportune time. Wouldn't recommend or buy this again.

Expected more

I have purchased three of these units two for home and one for work. As far as using on a desktop to minimize clutter they are fine. However to sit back in a recliner and use with a tv they are not great. Anything over 6 feet away it drops the signal.

Logitech Wireless Wave Combo MK550 review: This ergonomic keyboard needs better keys

Boasting a slightly curved, contoured keyboard and a smooth, substantial mouse, the Logitech Wireless Wave Combo MK550 could be just the thing for...

Curved keyboard design helps to keeps wrists straight; Padded palm rest; Smooth; substantial mouse; Plenty of hotkeys and programmable keys

Loud; cheap-feeling keys; Mouse buttons designed primarily for righties; Contoured keyboard design won't be for everyone

Mixed feelings for this product

The keyboard is about a foot from the tower case and the mouse about 2 feet. Operation was erratic with the sending unit plugged into the back of the case though they work just fine plugged into the front.

Excellent, but...

While the keyboard and mouse have plenty of features, I bought it mostly for the keyboard's ergonomic design. I absolutely love it! It took a couple days to get used to the curves of the keyboard, but it was well worth the bit of awkwardness in the beginning.

Great functionality for the price

both keyboard and mouse function quite well, easy setup and use. Only major drawback it the the overall bulky size of the keyboard. Much to large for many keyboard slides.
