First, I purchased this to watch TV through a computer. I cannot speak for any other use. Just a note, the keyboard that came in was white, not black. I know not why, though it's a non issue in regards to function.

Great product, works very well for watching and controlling DVD on a computer remotely. This track pad keyboard combo also is often taken to work and used in a harsh environment of heat and vibration inside a Dynometer Test Cell for engine tuning and it works perfectly adding great convenience being...
Despite its flimsy build, the K400 is a decent budget HTPC controller, with its built-in touch pad a surprising inclusion for the price.
Compact; lightweight; Built-in touch pad; Robust selection of function keys; Easy setup
Cheap plastic build; Mushy keys; No backlighting
For only $40, Logitech's K400 combines a keyboard and touchpad in a lightweight, wireless package that seems ideal for the living room.
I own two of these keyboards. One I use on Chromebook Acer C7 that I have hooked to my 24 in TV as a monitor and a white one I use on my 18.6 in Telikin computer. I hate a mouse and the built in track pad is a god send for the Chromebook since I use a lap deck a lot while using it.
this item is ideal for every day use
Overall I really like the performance of the keyboard, I would have liked it be backlit but for the price you really can't go wrong hear and one I would recommend with anyone who is budget minded or a HTPC builder looking for a solid wireless keyboard mouse combo.
The keyboard is great especially with the trackpad on the physical keyboard. I usually have it about 8 or 10 feet from the computer (Using a big TV as a monitor) and there is a noticeable lag between keystrokes. If I move the keyboard within 6 feet then it seems to be OK.
Comfortable Design; Great Features; Track Pad On Keyboard
Wireless Range Is Limited
This keyboard is cheap, stylish and a great tool to use with a HTPC. The range is great and though I can't personally speak about it's battery life yet, everyone else seems to have good experiences. There is ONE thing missing though.
Style; Size
Does the job perfectly - using it now in fact from my sofa with pc connected to the TV. Nice size and light but is solid enough. Used for around a year now and it has survived a few bad drops unscathed and functional.
