LittleBigPlanet 3

Beautiful, creative and filled with knitted joy, LittleBigPlanet 3 does however disappoint in its Adventure mode's comparatively sparse content. Nonetheless, it hands over an impressive array of exceptional design tools for budding creators.
Pros:
  • LBPs visuals look stitch perfect on PS4
  • New toys and characters are great fun to play with
  • Possibilities are even more endless in create mode
Cons:
  • Checkpoint system is frustrating in adventure mode
  • Story feels like it's over far too soon
  • Two player signposting could be clearer

LittleBig promises.

It's not often that I can forgive a game for throwing me through the geometry to my doom simply because the game itself is just too damn delightful. I am not the most fast-fingered of platformer players, but when I'm guiding a tiny creature made of wool and stuffing through a maze of fire and...

  • Intricate stage decoration and quirky NPCs adeptly world-build
  • Background music perfectly sets ambience and tone
  • adds to the playfulness of gameplay
  • The level editor is a rabbit hole of creative possibilities

Cons:
  • Where and how you can use new characters is extremely limited
  • Bugs are problematic enough to hinder progression in some areas

LittleBigPlanet 3 Review

LittleBigPlanet 3 is more of a good thing. Sumo Digital tweaks and refines the formula slightly in their story offering, introducing players to new characters and world full of possibilities. As was the case in the LittleBigPlanet 2, that's just the beginning though.

PlayStation 4 Little Big Planet 3 LBP3PS4 review

LittleBigPlanet 3 is a game that ups the ante in terms of the series’ solid platforming fundamentals, producing a genuinely fun story mode that can be enjoyed by up to four players at the same time locally – it’s hard to underestimate the value of that, given that most titles these days force you...

Little Big Planet 3

Little Big Planet has lost its creativity, or perhaps it's just that we're getting old. Ironically the game's story also deals with some of these issues. It's still fun play, but somehow it feels like the creative juices were all spent on Little Big Planet 2, and there were none left for part three.

LittleBigPlanet 3 PS4 Review: Create a better future

LittleBigPlanet 3 is fun and frustrating, simultaneously introducing gameplay twists while limiting your time with them. I'm speaking, of course, about OddSock, Toggle, and Swoop–three new heroes with varied abilities and the game's most obvious statement of difference.

LittleBigPlanet 3 Review

There was a moment, early on in LBP3, where Hugh Laurie's character, Newton, referred to me as something like "Chappy, Chappy, Chap". I smirked, and felt immediately very stupid as to how much this ha
