" My new Linsys is a hugh upgrade "

I had netgear, it worked for a while. Now I know what a good router is supposed to do. My new Linksys handles all my needs. Low profile and so quick. As I was hooking it up, my laptop reconized it right away. Its worry free, which means a lot. Thanks HP for helping me with my purchase.

Excellent Speed, Simplest Setup!

One of the most simple and easy to understand networking devices that I have ever seen. Out of the box it was up and running with my cable internet in about 5 minutes (but not 100%). I even added a Cisco expander which was simple as well.
Pros:
  • Easy To Set Up
  • Fast
  • Secure Connection
Cons:
  • Interference

A great, Gigabit Router and WiFi AP

When I upgraded my cable modem, I wanted to be sure my network speeds were optimal, meaning I needed a Gigabit Ethernet Router. Of course, I also want Wireless N WiFi. For the price, this fit that bill and then some. Easy to set up, fast, no problem on my home network.
Pros:
  • Ease of setup
Cons:
  • No place for external antennae

Great Router

Gave my internet a great boost of speed. As far as I know the CiscoCloud is not availiable yet, but that is the main reason i bought this router. Very light weight and has many vents to prevent overheating.

The Cisco EA2700 ($99.99 list) is the entry model of the new Linksys EA series routers. These routers, in terms of hardware, aren't significantly different from the Linksys E-series routers. Instead, most changes involve software.
Pros:
  • Dual-band
  • Decent throughput
  • Very easy setup
  • Designed to work with upcoming cloud software and apps
Cons:
  • SSID stopped broadcasting, which required a reboot
  • Throughput not as good as some Cisco Linksys E-series routers

I've already covered Cisco's new "App Enabled" router line and reviewed the EA3500 in depth. So this focus of this review of the EA2700 Gigabit Dual-Band Wireless N600 Router is mainly on how it performs. The EA2700 is the least expensive way to buy into Cisco's cloud-connected future.
