Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon is everything the original X1 should have been. Though its TN screen doesn't quite match up to the premium style, build and features of this stunning Ultrabook, in every other regard it's easily the best business ultraportable around.

Stylish; light and sleek; Superb backlit; spill-proof keyboard; Durable soft-touch finish; Powerful specs; Good high-res screen

No Ethernet port; Screen panel still TN

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Touch Review

Kitguru says: A fantastic ultra portable which is quiet, powerful and cool running.

fantastic build quality; responsive touchscreen; class leading keyboard; good SSD options; quick charging

integrated graphics are weak; Due a Haswell update; touchscreen adds a fine layer of grain to the images; battery life could be better; audio is thin

Lenovo ThinkPad X1

Practical is the X1's middle name, along, perhaps, with pricey -although this depends from whom you buy it. The choices Lenovo has made won't suit everyone though, and at this price you start to resent something that would be a mere quibble on a cheaper system.

Sturdy and practical; fast-charge battery; backlit keyboard; built-in 3G

Glare around the screen; unimpressive battery life; annoying port cover

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Touch review

Summary: The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Touch is attractive and solidly built, with an excellent touchscreen and a great keyboard. However, we'd like to see more ports and a removable battery at the very least. As it stands, this ultrabook is too expensive for widespread deployment.

Attractive design; Solid build quality; Superb touchscreen; Excellent keyboard; Fast battery charging; Mobile broadband with wireless hotspot support

Only two USB ports; Non-removable battery; Proprietary power connector; Expensive

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon review

Lenovo's first ThinkPad Ultrabook wasn't up to scratch, but the firm has addressed criticisms and nailed it second time around. The familiar ThinkPad design and build quality mean it'll stand the rigours of the office, the trackpad and keyboard are superb, and the screen's better than ever thanks to...

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 review

It's not often that we get excited about a laptop aimed primarily at business users, but Lenovo's ThinkPad X1 is an exception; the 13.3in ultra-portable might be less than 2cm thick, but it still squeezes in some clever features and plenty of high performance hardware.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Review

The ThinkPad X1 sells in India for a price of Rs 1,02,000, which might seem like a lot to a regular laptop customer. Add the fact that it's very light and easy to carry around while still delivering a decent amount of performance and battery life.
