Fantastic!

I love this laptop; Fantastic Linux support; I UEFI boot Arch Linux using EFISTUB and it's lightning quick; Almost all of the hardware worked out of the box; I needed to configure the volume and brightness controls, but that's basically it; Durable.

The mic mute button doesn't work; Not sure if that's faulty hardware or Linux just doesn't recognize it; The blank button next to it is unused though, so I use that instead; My previous laptops all had a numpad when holding Fn; I miss that; It can get quite hot when charging.

Great performance and slim factor make it a winner.

The X1 is a fabulous computer. Carbon makes it strong but very light weight. Battery life has been great - I can easily get 6-7 hours for work use (email, web, documents without heavy video). It's slim and easy to carry around.

I purchased this Ultrabook to replace my heavy business laptop and so far it has been an excellent notebook. The design is very sleek and stylish for a business class laptop, the keyboard is very responsive and types well and the laptop comes with a nice sized trackpad for an ultrabook.

Light; sleek; very fast

very poor battery life

Swift Core i5 performance; Comfortable keyboard and touchpad

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon feels like a return to form. Since its inception, the X1 series has been seen as a premium 14-inch business line. The series has introduced incredibly slim form factors, industry-leading performance and high-quality designs.

Fast; reliable performance Insanely light for a 14 - inch device Great Audio Excellent visuals with

Expensive Display suffers in direct light due to limited brightness

Lenovo Carbon X1 Laptop

Lenovo Carbon X1 Laptop i5 256GB SSD 8GB RAM Win 7 pro Not bought from Amazon Lightweight, well made, reliable laptop. For a lightweight, powerful laptop the keyboard is sturdy and doesn't obviously flex. It is nicely laid out and easy and comfortable to type quickly.

Ultrabook fans !!!! Power to you !!!!!!!!

Time of ultrabooks has started.Ordinary laptops couldn't give you much but ultrabooks are a hell of performance machines. The one such great machine is Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon. This is an expensive laptop but do mind that it is worth it. Fast?

Very Bad Technical Support

Firstly, the same review I tried to post few days ago on Lenovo website and it was rejected as ''it did not meet all our website guidelines''. It should be a big warning sign for potential buyers as Lenovo controls which negative reviews can be posted.

great product in a small package

i just got a new x1 (2nd gen 3 one) and thought people would like to know that i got an updated keyboard that doesn't have the issues that people complained about with the 3rd gen x1 (and that my other one has) and which almost kept me from buying another one.

size; trackpoint; screen; better keyboard

slightly heavier than previous x1
