Mother Board Died

Was a good machine up until the Mother Board died. I kept the product in good condition, using it for school and at home, then one day POOF it wouldn't turn on and was diagnosed as needing a new mother board ($500 repair).

Review: Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon

Of course, price is going to be the big sticking point with this laptop, and I suspect most buyers will gravitate toward the lower-end configurations. The $1,400 version is about in line with the $1,200 MacBook Air, and that's clearly the machine which both Lenovo is targeting and which buyers are...
Pros:
  • Head-turningly svelte and blazingly fast: Everything you want from an ultrabook
  • MIL-SPEC approved
  • Absolutely gorgeous display
  • Good old flat-black Lenovo charm
Cons:
  • Slow to boot (nearly 30 seconds)
  • Surprisingly buggy during normal operations, like running Windows Update
  • Clickpad is merely OK
  • Puny battery

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga review

As far as laptop ranges go, there's very little introduction needed for the ThinkPad family. First produced by IBM more than twenty years ago, Lenovo acquired the entire range a decade later.

Very Bad Technical Support

Firstly, the same review I tried to post few days ago on Lenovo website and it was rejected as ''it did not meet all our website guidelines''. It should be a big warning sign for potential buyers as Lenovo controls which negative reviews can be posted.

Notebook review

Although the ThinkPad line of notebooks from Lenovo is synonymous with business laptops, there hasn't been a 13-inch ThinkPad since the old X301. The all new ThinkPad X1 promises to deliver all the features and dependability you expect from a ThinkPad inside a thin and lightweight 13-inch laptop.
Pros:
  • Thin design with lots of ports
  • Excellent performance
  • Bright screen with Gorilla Glass
Cons:
  • Integrated battery
  • Glossy screen
  • Annoying touchpad issue

great product in a small package

i just got a new x1 (2nd gen 3 one) and thought people would like to know that i got an updated keyboard that doesn't have the issues that people complained about with the 3rd gen x1 (and that my other one has) and which almost kept me from buying another one.
Pros:
  • size
  • trackpoint
  • screen
  • better keyboard
Cons:
  • slightly heavier than previous x1
