Lenovo ThinkPad T420s laptop
The Lenovo ThinkPad T420s offers plenty of processing power and features that make it a good choice for a busy office. It's well built, feels solid, and it offers respectable battery life and power management.

Once upon a time, end-user productivity was limited by the performance of mobile computers. But today's innovation is no longer driven by specs alone. Now, even the most basic notebooks provide enough horsepower for most business users, and the Lenovo ThinkPad T420s fits the bill.

Review Lenovo ThinkPad T420s 4174-PEG Notebook
Lenovo hasn't really launched a new product onto the market with the T420s. No matter if it's the classic ThinkPad case design, the excellent input devices or the installed hardware, we have seen almost all of these model characteristics in the sister model, T420 , or the previous T410s .
Pros:
- Good manufacturing quality and case stability
- Great connectivity
- High-end inputs
- Matt screen surface
- SSD
- Optimus support
- Fast
- light
- perfectly equipped - that's how we like the business sector
Cons:
- Contrast weak screen with high viewing angle dependency
- Very high temperature in full load
- High price
- Dear Lenovo
- a fine-tuning of the fan management doesn't have anything to do with witchcraft

Lenovo ThinkPad T420s review
If there's one word we would use to describe Lenovo's ThinkPad range, it's 'consistent'. The chassis might have got thinner and the components inside are definitely faster, but the T420s looks every bit the same as any other laptop in the range.

Lenovo ThinkPad T420s Review
Lenovo's ThinkPad T420s is the business user's ultimate Goldilocks notebook. At 14.1 inches and 4 pounds, the laptop is extremely light and portable, but it's large enough to provide a generous high-res screen, a powerful processor, and a full-sized keyboard and touchpad.

Amazing unit, Fast/lightweight/durable
I was pretty excited to get this unit, but was actually happier than expected. The amazingly lightweight chassis somehow remains sturdy! I was down to this unit and a Dell XPS 14z. It took about 5 minutes to know I made the right choice!
Pros:
- Military spec on par with Toughbook (minus submersion) i7 proc is more than enough to last for years High resolution LED LCD- VERY clear Intel Wireless Display (WIDI) SATA III SSD (VERY fast
Cons:
- This model is NOT capable of rapidboot extreme (7 second boot)
- I was actually really bummed about the RBE, but ultimately was able to tweak system settings to allow for a 28 second boot without it
