The Lenovo ThinkPad L390 is a straightforward update of the previous ThinkPad L380 . While the newer model packs a new platform on the inside, the outside remains completely unchanged.

The only significant drawback for this 13.3-inch ThinkPad convertible is its chunky chassis, which is sized closer to what we'd expect from a 14-incher, and a hefty one at that. The ThinkPad X390 Yoga and the HP EliteBook x360 1040 G5 come to mind as more portable choices with equivalent (or better)...

The Lenovo ThinkPad L390 Yoga isn't the best laptop in the world, but you're also not paying best in the world prices for it. And the price is what I love about it. As I mentioned in the introduction, the ThinkPad X1 Yoga is one of my favorite convertibles.

While the Lenovo ThinkPad L390 Yoga isn't most attractive laptop you can get, it compensates for its lack of style with a killer keyboard, a satisfying trackpad, and lots of ways to connect with external devices.

Last year we reviewed Lenovo's ThinkPad L380 and appreciated the affordable price that nevertheless delivered a durable chassis, upgradeable hardware, great keyboard, generous port selection, and all-day battery life.

I bought this a few weeks ago after having a different laptop for several years. This one is sturdy and durable yet relatively lightweight and it is very easy to use. Set up was quick and the system runs very well. Love the feel of the keyboard and touch pad. Definitely happy with this purchase!
