Review: Lenovo Miix 510 2-in-1 Windows 10 PC

Lenovo ‘s latest 2-in-1 PC is, like others before it, composed of two parts: a tablet portion and a detachable keyboard. When connected together, the sum total of parts that is the Miix 510 form a quasi-laptop; when separated, though, you have a highly portable tablet packing Windows 10.

Excellent display; Attractive; premium design; Velvet-like slip cover; Very sturdy hinge with ample viewing angles

Some flex in keyboard when typing; Keyboard layout requires some adjustment; Battery life is somewhat disappointing

It's been over a year since Microsoft has released its Surface Pro 4, and the lack of a 2016 refresh means there's room for a new king of detachable two-in-one laptops. The Lenovo Miix 510 looks like a worthy successor to the crown. The durable aluminum design is understated, yet attractive.

Attractive design; Strong performance; Affordable

Sensitive to light; Weak battery life

Oh look, another top-spec tablet with detachable keyboard and pressure-sensitive stylus. Must be a new Surface Pro, right?

Lenovo Miix 510: A cheaper rival to the Surface Pro 4

The Lenovo Miix 510 is a 2-in-1 laptop to rival the Microsoft Surface Pro 4. On paper, it's a much better deal, thanks to the inclusion of a detachable keyboard and stylus pen - and a cheaper price point.

Powerful enough for daily tasks; Comes with a detachable keyboard; Kickstand design

Disappointing battery life; Comparatively low resolution; Terrible keyboard and trackpad

review of Lenovo Ideapad 510 15

On first look, and testing keyboard and reviewing features it is amazing. Love the light touch to the keyboard and the slightly raised keyboard makes typing easy. Still testing out the capacity of this laptop, and first impression is this is a very good laptop. I recommend it highly.

Lenovo Miix 510 review

Lenovo's IdeaPad Miix 700 was one of the more promising contenders for the Surface Pro 4 's hybrid tablet crown. Few 2-in-1s came close to matching Microsoft's device for style, but the Miix managed it thanks to its classy watchband-style hinges that are now synonymous with the company's laptops and...

Good audio performance; Easy to upgrade the RAM and HDD; Sharp display; Decent system performance
