The Lenovo IdeaPad 510 skips flashy features and premium displays to deliver a workhorse laptop computer for less.
This budget-friendly laptop offers solid performance
The laptop has a basic display and limited feature set
The Lenovo Miix 510 is an excellent -- and more affordable -- alternative to Microsoft's 2-in-1 tablet PC. And it might be the better choice for you.
The good-looking hinged kickstand has a lot of positioning flexibility; Has a USB-C port for video output and peripherals with adapters; Unlike Microsoft, Lenovo includes a generally excellent backlit keyboard cover; Lenovo's Active Pen and palm rejection work very well
The fans can get a little too loud for quiet environments; No memory card slot for expansion; The Active Pen is a $40 extra and its included holder blocks the power jack; The tiny right-hand shift key is horrible
A 2-in-1 that actually works well as both a tablet and a laptop, the Miix 510 is a detachable that genuinely lets you leave your full-size laptop at home.
Attractive looks; Nice; responsive touch display; Both Type-A and Type-C USB 3.0 ports
So-so battery life; Loud fans; A few quirks in the keyboard layout
I wanted to like this. On the face of it is very similar to a Microsoft Surface Pro 4, and even improves on it with USB Type-C. But that is the only improvement. However unfortunately it falls down in the following areas;- Screen is smaller that the SP4 although the device is no smaller, so there is...
The 2-in-1 form factor has gained a lot of prominence lately as the mobile workhorse of choice, thanks to its performance and portability. With advancements in technology, power consumptions are at record low levels, which allows laptop makers like Lenovo to come up with devices like the Lenovo...

Oh look, another top-spec tablet with detachable keyboard and pressure-sensitive stylus. Must be a new Surface Pro, right?
I have had this computer for just over a year now and I am extremely pleased with how it performs and handles all the tasks I demand of it. I do not use this computer lightly but it still manages to keep up with all of the demanding tasks I throw at it.
Laptops that can do everything are so adorable. They would edit a video as fast as they play it, gaming is never out of option and the interface runs delightfully well. Equipping laptops with good amount of computing power ups its price.
Power packed performance; JBL speakers with good surround; Intuitive shortcut keys; Sleek; looks good
Bad speaker placement; Pricey
