works and looks great

Junk. It did not work and I had to go through a rather time consuming process of returning it and of course pay for it to be shipped back. I recently bought one at Staples. Better, if this one does not work then I just take it back there and let them worry about it.

I recently purchased an Alienware 17; Windows 10 with USB3; This external dvd reader/writer works flawlessly on the USB3 port; No drivers needed; Needs only the 1 USB3 connector; Reads and writes.

none so far; I needed only DVD and CD access and, of course, this does not address the BluRay issue; Just does what I need for my data backup

Light weighted good product.

Feels solidly built and worked perfectly with Windows 10. No need for the documentation, I just plugged it in to a portable docking station and it installed. The cable is only 16cm long, which minimises desktop clutter and I can't see that I'll ever want to use it further away.

I use this as an DVD burner with my 2010 MacBook Pro. The internal DVD stopped working. I soon will have to upgrade my laptop. I wanted a drive that would work both with my current Macbook and with a new one. The new Mac external drive won't work with my older Mac.
