Leica Summarit-S 70mm f/2.5 ASPH. Review

The Leica Summarit-S 70mm f/2.5 ASPH. ($4,995) is the standard-angle lens for the company's S medium format camera line. Thanks to the large sensor size used by the S system, the lens captures images with an angle of view that's roughly equivalent to a 56mm lens on a 35mm format camera. The Leica Summarit-S 70mm f/2.5 ASPH. has a wide f/2.5 aperture that's not common in medium format lenses, and is quite sharp regardless of the aperture at which you're shooting.

Wide aperture; Quite sharp; Focuses to 20 inches; All-weather design

Some barrel distortion; Edge sharpness suffers at f/2.5; Lacks depth-of-field scale markings
