Didn't last longer than 2 weeks

Bought Lacie cause I read a lot of positive reviews about it. Took it with me upstate NY to film a retreat for the client. On the 2 day of the retreat, I transferred all information from SD cards to my new LaCie and checked everything before I went to sleep.

Well orange you good looking

I have a number of these LaCie Rugged drives in various configurations because I'm a very shallow man and can't resist their Neil Poulton-designed cases. Performance is decent enough via USB 3.0 and the 2.5-inch mechanical drive is whisper quiet.

Drive physical failure in less than 13 months.

Had this drive for less than 13 months when it failed completely with physical errors. Can't reinitialize. In other words, it's a brick. It was never dropped. In fact, it was never moved from the top of my MacPro desktop and used only occasionally as a back up drive.

Easy to use

This was really easy to set up. It does exactly what I need it to and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Don't know how I managed without it to be honest. I think I'm going to buy another one.

Purchased this to try and see if it worked as a replacement hard drive and it works brilliantly saving me the need to buy a new...

Good efficient drive

I'm a new convert to USB 3.0, and I don't know how I managed before. Transfers are very fast, and backups take a fraction of the time they used to take with my old USB 2.0 drive. Apart from the speeds, this drive does exactly what it's supposed to do and provides a lot of space to backup all of my...

Good, reliable drive

This drive seems really solid. I bought it to backup files on the go. The speed is great. Also, the public/private software is very handy, as I keep some of my private files in a password-protected partition, and the rest of the data on the drive, such as photos and videos can be easily shared.
