I'd like to mention that I've only had the external drive for about a month and have only used it twice. Easy instructions to follow and now I know what they mean by fast transfer. Satisfied with my purchase.

4TB of space, it's smaller than my hand so it sits neatly behind my laptop when in use. I bought it specifically for the capacity and the USB-C lead to use with the latest MacBook Pro. It's been really stable as it has a solid state drive and goes with me in the laptop bag wherever I go.

I bought this to use with my new 2017 21.5 inch 4K iMac with Time Machine excellent drive highly recommended it.....

So this rose gold color is more pink, so if that's not your thing, go for another color. That being said, it's still a beautifully designed device. I get a max of 80 MB/s transfer speed via USB Type-C port, but that varies a bit. Not quite fast enough to edit 4k video from the drive.

I recommend for media production using mac

The drive is a 5200RPM drive but is still fast; It is a USB-c/3.1 drive; It handles my video editing and color grading projects well; This drive performs closer to a SSD because of its engineering in writing to several layers at a time

The metal case is great but has sharp grooves; Should use the Orange case that comes with some models if necessary
