LaCie Porsche P9230 review
The design and software features of the Porsche P'9230 are quite attractive, but at £115 for 1TB of storage it ought to offer Porsche performance as well as just style.

I used this product one time. I transferred all of my photos and video clips which I cannot retrieve because the device will no longer work.

LaCie Porsche P'9230 desktop drive
Apple hasn't put USB 3 on any of its desktop Macs yet, but it can still be useful to have a nice big desktop drive waiting back at home or in your office sometimes. Besides, we can probably assume that there's an iMac update in the pipeline that will include USB 3 in the not too distant future...

Lacie 5TB Porsche design P 9230 USB3.0, Solid aluminum casing, Easy setup (LaCie Setup Assistant) and...
So far, so good. Had major issues with Time Machine on my previous WD My Book Pro. Mac OS also has a glitch with regards sending messages that the disk was not ejected properly when the drive sleeps. Given the Mac web site recommends this drive I would have thought they would have sorted it.

Super Fast
I recently upgraded my LaCie Starck 2TB USB 2.0 drive with this one for my Mac. The speed is at least 10 times as fast as the old USB. I completed my initial backup of ~1.2TB in approximately 5 hours! Also, the drive is super quiet and takes up less volume on my desktop than my old Stark drive.
Pros:
- Attractive Design
- Easy To Set Up
- Easy to use
- High Capacity
- Quiet

- Of course your computer must have native
Cons:
- Nothing

Absolutely Awesome
I really like this drive because of the thought put into its design. The aluminium case is really nice, and very solid. The unit is quiet, fast, and it runs cool. I have no hesitation recommending this to others.

Great product.
This is a nice drive. Comes with all necessary software and cables. Worked great as a backup unit and a file server. I'm going to use it as my media library, too - got it plugged into the router, so I can stream files directly from it. The speeds are good.

Perfect for my mac
LaCie HD that works out of the box, just like my old LaCie drive but simpler to use. This one is a dark grey, the slightly more expensive model would have matched my iMac. If you are bothered by that spend a few more pounds, but this works with Time Machine, just plug in press a button, all backed...
Pros:
- Durable
- Simple Controls
- Simple to use
