Great bulbs for getting started with smart lighting
These were some of my first smart lighting devices and the setup and use of them has been excellent. They also integrate with HomeKit super easily so I mostly use the Home app on my iPhone/iPad to control them but the LIFX app is also pretty clean and easy to use.

Buy this one
LIFX are a little more expensive, but the only lamps that work reliably with full local control for home automation e.g. with Home Assistant. Most other vendors try and force you to use their cloud servers and crappy apps, or worse, provide a local API and then kill it once they've got your money (looking at you TP-Link).

Good brightness easy to control with app works well with Apple home kit

Amazing Light
Really good light, great for an alarm clock and creating mood lighting. However if the light has been on at the switch for about a week it will sometimes stop responding, but hopefully, that will be fixed in a software update. Good colour range and plays nice with other smart devices.
