Disappointed

My husband was told this model was the same as our old dishwasher that was being replaced . When it was installed. I was very disappointed with it. It only has very long cycles, there is no flat cutlery rack at the top, and even on the extra dry cycle it doesn't dry as well as before. I hope they improve the model before I need to purchase my next dishwasher or I will have to go elsewhere

Disappointed with XD5B14PS

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very disappointed with my purchase of this model XD5B14PS of dishwasher! I previously had the LG model 1452 for many years which was an excellent dishwasher until it failed and after trying to get an LG service person to fix the problem we had to replace the beloved dishwasher which should have had many more years of life. Externally and internally it was in perfect condition. Having expected the same quality of design and performance we were let down by the XD5B14PS model. This model's design was a backward step. (1)The lower basket ALWAYS gets jammed and jumps its tracks. (2) The touch controls are too sensitive and brushing past the machine turns it ON. (3) this model does hold the same stack-ability so we have to wash more frequently.

Great Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having owned dishwashers for many years I can tell you that there are two things that a dishwasher should do. 1. Wash dishes and 2. Dry dishes. Sounds simple but many machines don’t do the job properly. The LG Quadwash is the best I have owned so far. It gives an excellent wash with no food residue left on cups, plates or cutlery. The drying is good except for a bit of water left on the bottom of some upturned cups and glasses that have a rim. A quick dab with a tea towel before removal fixes this. All other aspects of drying are good. The energy rating is not a consideration for me as I have solar power and it needs power to do a good job. The main thing is it does the job very well and avoids the frustration of not having the dishes cleaned properly as was the case with my old machine. I recommend this product.

Awesome Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far very happy with this dishwasher. It’s intense wash is a little longer than our previous machine, but the quality of the wash is far superior. It’s wifi features are good, and we like the racking, which has lots of adjustments. The machine looks great too; very modern. We recommended it to our kids, who also bought the same unit, and love it. You can’t beat the 10 year warranty on the motor; LG are leaders in motor tech, which explains why they would provide such generous cover, as they are not expecting it to break in that period.

Not a great cutlery basket.

Been about 10 months. Machine is going well. We do accidently turn it on all the time by brushing past the touch sensor power button just as Is read in another review. Mildly annoying. The cutlery basket was dissapointing -developed holes in such a short time from cutlery which started poking and falling through. They replaced it. Our last LG went for 10 years and never had a cutlery basket problem.
